05-12-03 The GuRoo was well received at a demonstration at ACRA2003, The Australian Conference on Robotics and Automation in Brisbane QLD Australia.

10-5-03 A joint paper with UNSW entitled Evolving a Locus Based Gait for a Humanoid Robot has been accepted for publication at IROS2003 in Las Vegas.

24-2-03 In collaboration with UNSW, a GA inspired walking gait was presented at AMiRE2003, QUT. A video of the walk and the paper have been posted.

24-7-02 The GuRoo has returned from RoboCup 2002 Fukuoka, Japan. With walking code only a few weeks old, he managed to take a short stroll along the field, with minimal support from a human. He was also able to stand on one leg, wave to the crowd, shake hands and bow. Click on the Photos link to see some photos from the competition. Videos will be up shortly.
