This new research project explores the ways in which intelligent, ubiquitous technology may be used to transform kindergarten education. Of particular interest is the design of new resources which may be used to provoke playful interactions. This project has involved conducting in-situ observational studies and teacher focus groups to obtain insight into the nature of children’s behaviours within a kindergarten setting: interpersonal relationships, interactions within the environment and styles of engagement with kindergarten resources.
