Biography

Dr. Amin Abbosh received the MSc in communication systems and PhD in microwave engineering, the Grad Cert in Higher Education. As a recognition of his international standing in research, he recently received the Doctor of Engineering (DEng) from the University of Queensland in 2013. He is now an Associate Professor and Director of Postgraduate Studies in the School of Information Technology and Electrical Engineering at the University of Queensland, Australia. He has authored more than 300 papers on wideband passive microwave devices, planar antennas, and microwave-based imaging systems. He currently leads a strong team of 15 PhD students and Postdoctoral Research Fellows.

Research Interests
  • Microwave passive devices (antennas, couplers, power dividers, filters…etc) for wideband applications
  • Microwave imaging systems for medical applications
  • Reconfigurable Antennas
