Congratulations to Sam Hames

Congratulations to Sam Hames who has taken out this year's Canon Extreme Imaging Prize at the 2015 DICTA (Digital Image Computing: Techniques and Applications) conference.  Sam won this award for his project "Anatomical Skin Segmentation in Reflectance Confocal Microscopy with Weak Labels" which has the potential to improve the diagnosis of skin disease and provides a powerful tool for non-invasive skim imaging. Sam is supervised by Professor Andrew Bradley.

This is an annual competition run by Canon Information Systems Research Australia (CiSRA) aimed to encourage Australian students to use image technology and recognises innovation and advances in the field.

The full media release can be read on the Canon website.

This is a great achievement, well done Sam.
