 Scientific Computing

This is a strongly mathematical area, in which computers are used to solve computational problems. You can do much of this area in a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree, but, by doing scientific computing in the Bachelor of Information Technology (BInfTech), you can spend more time on the computer side. For a strong combination of computing, mathematical techniques and application to a specific area of science, consider a dual BInfTech/BSc combination.

Career options

Scientific computing specialists can work in statistical applications, and anywhere that modelling of the real world is done (e.g. weather prediction).
