APWeb 2006 Demos and Industry Papers
Researchers, practitioners and developers are
invited to submit demo proposals and industry papers to APWeb 2006 conference. We are especially
interested in products or prototypes of novel Web related technologies and
applications.
APWeb2006 will hold an industry
session and two demo sessions for the accepted industry papers and demo
proposals. Each accepted industry
paper is required to have a presentation on the industry session and each
accepted demo is required to have a poster and demonstrate during
two sessions. APWeb2006 will provide space and standard equipments (PC and
Internet connection) at the conference venue.
Industry Paper Submission
All areas of APWeb2006 are of interest to the industry papers. The paper should
be about industrial or other real-world applications of
Web technology. A description of how the applications has been conceived and
deployed must be provided. The selection criteria used
for industry papers include the novelty, the technical quality, and the
attractiveness of the application.
All industry paper submissions must be no more than 25 pages (including all
figures and bibliography) doubles spacing and must
satisfy the style requirement as specified in the call for paper in the main
conference.
Industry paper needs to be submitted electronically to
kan@src.ricoh.co.jp as a PDF attachment
before the deadline of submission. The Program Committee will review each submission. Note that for every accepted industry paper, APWeb does require at
least one person to register and present.
Demo Paper Submission
All demonstration submissions must be no more than 8 pages (including all
figures) and should provide a short description about the system
to be demonstrated system, covering a summary of its novel characteristics, the
list of functions and features.
The selection criteria used for demonstration proposals include the novelty, the
technical quality, and the attractiveness of the demonstrated system.
Demo proposals need to be submitted electronically to
apweb06-demo@kde.cs.tsukuba.ac.jp as a PDF attachment before the deadline of
demo proposal submission. For every accepted demo paper, APWeb does require at
least one person to register and present.
Publications
Both industry
papers and demo papers will be included in the formal conference proceedings,
which will be published by Springer in its LNCS series (which are SCI indexed).
Each industry paper can have up to 12 pages (regular paper) or 6 pages (short
paper), and each demo paper can have up to 4 pages.
Awards
APWeb demo committee will select a winner for the Best Demo Award and
Best Industry Paper Award.
