 2005 Australian Communications Theory Workshop

Brisbane, February 2-4, 2005

Author Information

Authors may submit full papers for peer review. Accepted papers will appear in full in the published proceedings.

Preparation of Manuscripts

For initial submission (for reviewing purposes), the paper can be generated with any package. The submitted manuscripts, however, must be in PS or PDF form and should be approximately 4 to 6 pages in length. (See below for submission instructions.)

The camera ready manuscripts (of the accepted papers) should be in LaTeX format (preferably using the IEEEtran.cls format). More detailed instructions are given in the example in this zip file. The zip file contains the LaTeX source, and PS and PDF versions of the example. Details on how to deal with figures etc are given in the detailed instructions. Please contact a member of the TPC if you require assistance with converting files to LaTeX format.

The camera ready manuscript files should be combined into a single 'zip' file (using winzip or tar + gzip). The camera ready zip file is to be submitted via the EDAS site as detailed below.

Submission of Manuscripts

Full papers must be submitted electronically via the EDAS paper submission site: http://www.edas.info/Conferences.cgi . [Please DO NOT submit abstracts via this site. See Poster Sessions below for more details.]

Note, you will need a login account on the EDAS system. This is straight forward to arrange via the EDAS web address above.

Publication of Accepted Papers

For an accepted paper to be published in the workshop proceedings:

  • An IEEE copyright form must be submitted by January 12, 2004. Please fax completed and signed IEEE copyright forms to "John Homer, General Chair AusCTW05, School of ITEE, The Univ. of Qld, Fax: +61 7 3365 4999". A copy of the copyright form can be obtained by following the 'IEEE Copyright Form' link from www.ieee.org/copyright .
  • At least one author of the paper must be registered for attendance at the workshop by December 20, 2004. Details on registration fees and registration instructions can be found at

Poster Sessions and Submission of Abstracts

It is not necessary to submit a full paper in order to present at the Workshop. To facilitate maximum participation, poster slots will be allocated to anyone who submits a title and brief abstract by January 12, 2005. After this date, poster slots will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis, subject to limitations on available space. Posters should fit onto three landscape A4 pages across by four down.

Single-page versions of all abstracts received by January 12, 2005 will be printed and distributed in booklet form to Workshop attendees. [Note, submitted abstracts are not subject to review.]

Abstracts should be submitted electronically to submit.ausctw@anu.edu.au. Please DO NOT submit abstracts via the EDAS system.

 Audio-Visual Equipment

A data projector with computer and overhead projector will be available.
