The results for the first
week of tutorials are now online. Use the ‘Results’ link to the left of the
COMP3702/COMP7702 Home page, or go to http://www.itee.uq.edu.au/~comp3702/results.csv.
You will need to log in to access your results. Please check your results,
and contact me if you have any queries. For each tutorial, the possible
results are 1, 0.5, or ‘Not recorded’. 1 means that all of the questions for
the tutorial were answered substantially correctly. 0.5 means that some of
the questions for the tutorial were answered correctly. ‘Not recorded’ means
that nothing was submitted for the tutorial. |

Due to the public holiday
on Wednesday 12 August there will be no Wednesday tutorial held this week.
For this week, people who are signed on to the Wednesday tutorial should
either attend another tutorial or submit online by 5pm on Thursday. |

Assignment 1 is now available. |

The Mid-Semester Exam will
be held during the 1st hour of the lecture on Tuesday 1 September.
It is a closed book exam. There will be 20 multiple choice questions and you
will have 50 minutes to answer them. Remember to bring a 2B pencil. Note that this exam is
optional for students enrolled in COMP3702 and compulsory for students
enrolled in COMP7702. |

Mid-Semester Exam are now up. The answers,
to be discussed in the tutorial next week, are also up. |

Results for Assignment 1
are now up. If your marks are not up, it may be because you have not
submitted your cover sheet. If you have not submitted a
cover sheet, please download one from http://studenthelp.itee.uq.edu.au/assignments/
and submit to the COMP3702/7702 assignment submission box on level 1 of GP
south. |

The competition for
Assignment 2 involved testing on 50 characters drawn by the lecturer during
the final lecture of the semester. An extra mark for Assignment 2 was given
to each of the 14 classifiers that were successfully entered in the
competition. Another mark was given to the top 4 classifiers: Nick &
Andrew's Advanced Neural Classifier, 41387106 RandomGuessClassifier,

If your marks are not up, it may be because you have not submitted your cover
sheet. If you have not submitted a cover sheet, please download one from studenthelp.itee.uq.edu.au/assignments/
and submit to my office (Axon-308). If you have not submitted a cover sheet
by the exam (16/11/09) you will receive 0 marks for Assignment 2. Results are also up for all
of the tutorials. |
