Other Interests
I like to get out hiking whenever I can. Have only just
bought a digital camera, so none of my previous
overseas trips
are up yet. When I get the time I'll scan and post some Japan
shots.

Took
a group of 9 Grade 11 and 12 students to Girraween for a 3 day
hike. Weather was beautiful if not a little windy. Climbed Billy
Goat hill

Massive
hail storm in Brisbane. Hail was up to 0.5m in depth in places.
Took a few photos from around our place about an hour afterwards.
Closest thing to snow Brisbane is ever going to see :)

 I
went to the USA for a conference in Los Angeles, and then took a
few days off afterwards and had a little look around the states.
Spent a few days in LA, then across to Flagstaff Arizona to see
the Grand Canyon, and then finally a few days in New York before
flying home.

Spent
a few days at Washpool NP, just outside of Glen Innes.
Duffer Creek Falls were pretty amazing, you folllow the creek
along and then a 100m drop straight down.

Day
trip up Mt Greville, about an hour south west of Brisbane.
Went up via South East Ridge and had lunch at the top.
Dropped down into Echo Point and then followed Waterfall Gorge
back to the cars. About 5 hours round trip.

I
took 5 Duke of Edinburgh silver and gold candidates on a 4 day
wander around Girraween National Park. It was cold, with night
time air temps of around 0 degrees.

My
brother recently moved up to Darwin to live. He and mum
drove up, and I flew in to Darwin and drove back with her.
Caught up with a friend in Darwin and went out to Litchfield
National park for a day. The Drive back took us about 4
days, and with a whole day flooded in at Camoweal. Plenty of
water everywhere and even the outback was surprisingly green.

9
days by myself on the Overland Track. Absolutely amazing, photos
just don't do it justice.

When
I get the chance I try and get out my fire stick. Haven't
had much opportunity to get many good photos yet. Still
saving up for a digital camera with adjustable exposure length.
