SML/NJ is the New Jersey implementation of the Small ML language. The version installed here is a "working" version, not a "release" version. This is the version required for the latest NJ toolkit.

Installing

To install, get all the files from the 109.29 or the 109.30 distribution site, except those that are precompiled binaries for machines not needed (so you need only one or two of the files larger than 2MB). Leave them (unexpanded) in the root directory (the root of where all thes SML-NJ files are going to live; at present, this is /u6/olympic/languages/ml/nj.30.

Unpack and untar the 109.30-config.tar.Z file; if necessary edit the file config/targets. Then simply

config/install.sh

To actually run it, change to the bin directory and type

./sml
