The Paradisec project is a web-enabled facility for collaborative digitisation, management and access to Australian researchers' ethnographic audiovisual recordings of endangered languages and music from the Asia Pacific region.
Hypothetical Usage:
Using Vannotea, this project will allow ethnographers to:
- Search for words or browse indexes
- Customise views of transcripts
- Navigate through texts and retrieve corresponding media
- Create persistent identifiers to words within texts
- Upload transcript outputs from Transcriber, ELAN and CLAN to the online repository
- Edit transcripts online through WIKIs
