About the ESG

The Embedded Systems Group engages in applied and theoretical research into the analysis, design and implementation of embedded systems.

We are comprised of approximately 10 full time academics, several affiliate academics, and a large number of graduate students.

Our expertise and research efforts are aligned along two major themes (click the list items for more details):

Reconfigurable Computing focussing on embedded systems created with programmable logic devices such as FPGAs (Field Programmable Gate Arrays).

Cooperating Embedded Systems such as sensor networks, ubiquitous computing environments and embedded operating systems.

We offer a strong graduate studies program aligned with these themes, including PhD and Masters by research programs, as well as relevant projects within the Master of Engineering (Computer Systems) course.

We also offer a wide variety of undergraduate student projects for final year students in the School of ITEE Engineering program.
