 ESG Research Overview
Research Overview Our research is streamed along two major themes. Below is a summary of current ESG projects, please click on the title links for more details. A list of publications is also available.

Reconfigurable System-on-Chip

Reconfigurable Computing is a new style of computer architecture enabled by the availability of high density programmable logic chips, or FPGAs (Field Programmable Gate Arrays). FPGAs are integrated circuits consisting of large arrays of uncommitted logic gates and interconnection wires.

Context Aware and Cooperating Embedded Systems

When appliances, sensors, actuators and computers are all networked together, and also networked into the broader Internet, many new systems-level applications are possible, such as the Smart Car, Smart House, Smart Office, and Smart Hospital. All of these applications depend on embedded systems technology in addition to particular domain knowledge.
