- ACE Package [ software (1502 KB .zoo file)| manual in HTML format| manual in PDF format (502 KB)| manual in DVI format (384 KB)]
- ACE (Advanced Coset Enumerator) is a C program written by
Colin Ramsay and George Havas.
The ACE Package is an interactive GAP 4 Package developed mainly
by Greg Gamble. The documentation is also mainly by Greg Gamble,
though some contributions to it were made by Alexander Hulpke
and Joachim Neubueser, and some portions of the manual were
adapted from the standalone manual by Colin Ramsay.
Can be verified by: George Havas. - ANUPQ Package (pre-release version) [ software (1003 KB .zoo file)| manual in HTML format| manual in PDF format (316 KB)]
- The ANUPQ Package is an interactive GAP 4 Package developed mainly
by Greg Gamble from a non-interactive translation by Werner Nickel
of a GAP 3 version. It is an interface to the C program ANU pq
(p-quotient) written by Eamonn O'Brien.
The documentation is also mainly by Greg Gamble,
though some contributions to it were made by Werner Nickel
and Joachim Neubueser, and some portions of the manual were
adapted from the standalone manual by Eamonn O'Brien.
Can be verified by: Joachim Neubüser. - GAP documentation interface
- The interface to the GAP documentation was solely the work
of Greg Gamble.
Can be verified by: George Havas - Presentations of some simple groups database.
- Generated for George Havas, using a variant of
PGRelFind (see next entry).
Can be verified by: George Havas - PGRelFind (Perfect (simple) Group RELator FIND).
- Generated for George Havas. The software is supplied with the
ACE Package.
Can be verified by: George Havas - MAGMA documentation interface
- The interface to the MAGMA documentation was solely the work
of Greg Gamble.
Can be verified by: George Havas - Nests of designs database.
- Generated for Anne Street, using dsgn-package (see below).
Can be verified by: Anne Street. - MAGMA package for computing defining sets, trades and nests of small t-designs, Technical Report [.dvi.gz| .ps]
- Describes a MAGMA package
dsgn-package.tar.gz that interfaces with a
design completion C program
gscad.tar.gz
that was used to generate the data in Nests of designs (next entry).
The software is complete, though the documentation is not
as complete as I'd like it to be.
The version here will be developed as a Research
Report that doubles as a User Manual. The Tree Search
algorithm that is central to the minimal defining set and
minimal trade search algorithms uses some group theoretical
results that are to be described in the paper following.
To Do:Add definitions, examples, theorems used in the Tree Search algorithm, and an appendix with all functions nicely formatted. Rewrite as a GAP package?
Can be verified by: Anne Street. - Perl programs
- The Perl programs whose man pages appear below
were written and documented solely by Greg Gamble.
Each gives its own man page when called with the
option -h, e.g. docpack -h
Can be verified by: George Havas- doc
- run a web browser on local documentation interface
- docpack [ download program]
- (un)compress files in an HTML orbit
- htmlls [ download program]
- recursively create HTML contents lists of a directory
- mirrorls [ download program]
- compile directory listing or compare mirror sites
- netmod
- modify the current network configuration
- setclocks
- set both the hardware clock and the system date
- xtango
- run an xtango/opal/polka/samba animation on an input file
- TeX/LaTeX Documentation Interface
- The interface to the TeX/LaTeX documentation was solely the work
of Greg Gamble.
