Welcome to the KVO projects page!

Our present emphasis is integrating free-text and ontologies using formal concept analysis and conceptual structures.

KVO is increasingly interested in information retrieval and library science technologies. An understanding of the information scientific approaches to information organisation supplements a computer science understanding of data and knowledge representation.

KVO is not an AI research group although some of us are AI-trained. Our work involves engineering distributed systems using Web-based technologies. In support we employ natural language, knowledge representation, information retrieval and data mining (KDD).

Projects are of several types:

1. academic projects for the purpose of scientific advancement and discovery
2. projects involving collaboration with other domains of knowledge and scientific disciplines (including open-source development projects)
3. paid projects, contract research and consultancy
