[microblaze-uclinux] Update
Hi folks,
A couple of things:
I think I've finally nailed the mystery bug that was causing random
hangs in the kernel bootup. A change in the way the current task
pointer is handled, and a fixed irq entry/exit process appears to have
fixed the problem.
The requirement for leading underscores has been removed in line with
modern gcc implementations.
The irq and updated underscore stuff were checked in to the CVS this
morning.
Native linux build environment: Seemingly endless problems with Cygwin,
plus reports of a successful build under Linux are leading me ever
closer to dropping Cygwin altogether. It is just not suitable for
building linux kernels, and the pain of trying to force it outweighs any
benefits I can perceive at this time.
elf2flt / userland binaries: I've got a placeholder elf2flt working, and
have successfully built the simpleinit process. Progress is slow but
steady.
I'm on holidays from tomorrow until Thursday 24th April, and will be
about as far out of internet/email range as it's possible to be. So, I
hope you all have a safe break (if it's a holiday in your part of the
world) and I'll be back into it after Easter (hopefully under linux!).
Cheers,
John
