[microblaze-uclinux] Status update

Hi everyone,

Just a quick update - I've been away from the office for the last few
days, attending an EMC (electromagnetic compatibility) course.

The official uClinux kernel has just been brought forward to 2.4.22, so
I'll be testing that to make sure no Microblaze stuff is broken. Also,
SnapGear (www.snapgear.com) are about to cut a new uClinux-dist package,
so I'll be testing that as well. My aim is to have Microblaze support
out of the box, meaning that users can simply download the distribution,
select microblaze as the target, and be ready to do app development.

As the software side of things becomes more stable I'm keen to introduce
Microblaze/uClinux to as wide an audience as possible. So, if you have
any suggestions for websites I should approach for cross-linking, or
indeed if you have your own Linux or embedded website, I'd be grateful
for any linking opportunities.

Also I'm keen for mbvanilla to support a wider range of hardware than
just the V2MB1000, so download the hardware description off the web site
and start tweaking that UCF file!

Regards,

John
