[microblaze-uclinux] xmbserial.c comments
Hi,
An update about my Virtex II Pro Linux use of some of the Microblaze code
specifically the xmbserial.c driver.
I have now got 2.4.21 booting and running sash though for a long time
busybox was failing for some reason when used. The system can actually
be used as of today which is a good feeling indeed - of course there are
problems with all kinds of things which I still need to fix. Anyway...
It turns out that there is a problem when _exit() is called and file
descriptors are passed back to init or somesuch (I am in the process of
beginning to figure out where so am being very vague when I say this).
Generally there do seem to be a few problems with using this serial driver
as a full blown terminal though xmbserial is very useful! I am interested
in helping to fix this rather than whining pointlessly so...
Please let me know of other experiences with serial weirdness though
remember I am using the full blown kernel and not ucLinux here.
Jon.
P.S. I am waiting to here from Memec about getting a development board
so I can mess around with the Microblaze at home.
