There might be options for the EDK. Insight sell the EDK/V2MB1000 board
bundle for less than US$1000...
Given the alignment of version numbers now with ISE and EDK going to 6.1
- I wonder if they are on the path to bundling the two anyway. So maybe
a webpack-like edition of EDK is a consideration.
Going further - note the EMAC eval core that comes with EDK times out
after a few hours - a microblaze that does similarly would be very easy
to do, and could be given away freely for evaluation purposes....
