we have Davicom DM9000E on prototype boards.
you can download dm9000 linux device driver from
http://www.davicom.com.tw/eng/download/Driver/driver_9000.htm
we know that dm9000 is not the best mac/phy chip. if you know some
other 100baseT chip for isa bus, let us know!
other choice might be using pci.
pros:
- you might have more chips to choose from
cons:
- host controler takes some gates in fpga

we thought about smsc. It's more expensive than dm9k for us :(
