We have both, the 300k and the 600k version of the SIIELC board. Initially
we tried to run uClinux on the 300k board. But the available bram was not
enough to run it. It might be possible , with reconfiguration to get it to
work, but we didn't try hard to do it.
On the 600k board it ran fine. The limitations are: 50MHz operation, no
hardware multiplier, divider, barrel shifter.
We even wired in a SMSC LAN9C111 and got the networking operational.
We don't have a clean project available to share yet and it will be a while
until we get to work on it again. But I just wanted to report again, that it
is possible to port uCLinux on the Spartan IIe platform with this board.

As to the questions about the WebPack, I was under the impression that the
EDK requires the full ISE version, as it uses core inserters. Am I wrong on
that assumption?

But the 300K version is supported. That's the one I was talking about.
The 600K version is more expensive, $450 ;-)
