Reply: [microblaze-uclinux] New uCLinux hardware suggestions
That's great! I'm like to see such an "open-hardware". I'm studying on
MicroBlaze, and I want port
it to a Spartan3 platform, because that's make low-cost. I hope to see it,
please tell us How and When
it will begin?
Thanks,
KylongMu
Hello,
I am new to the uCLinux community and to microblaze for that matter. I have
read through a good majority of the list archives however and am very
excited about what uCLinux on microblaze has to offer!
Anyway, I am a senior undergraduate engineering student using microblaze in
a robot that is being designed as part of my senior design project.
Although it is not explicitly a goal of the project, I am very interested in
the possibility of porting uCLinux to the platform at some point in the
future. I am looking for suggestions anyone might have to ensure that
uCLinux can be ported to the new platform our team is currently designing.
I should also mention that once we've ported uCLinux to the board we would
be happy to provide it as a sort of "open-hardware" with schematics and
layouts and possibly offer the boards for purchase. Here is what we're
leaning towards for some key components.
-Spartan 3 with 200k,400k, or 1000k gates -64Mb 133MHz SDRAM (16Mx32? very
interested in organization suggestions) -32Mb Flash (again looking for
organization suggestions)
-RS-232 (2x)
Thanks in advance,
Matt
