[microblaze-uclinux] I2C support
Hi folks,
Last week I did some initial work (fiddling :) importing the Xilinx I2C
core device driver from the PPC linux tree. It's in CVS now, and lives
in drivers/char/i2c/xilinx_iic.
It's tweaked to use the autoconfig stuff - just build the core into your
microblaze hardware, add a generic driver in the MSS, and the resulting
auto-config.in will have all the settings necessary to pick it up in the
kernel build, you just have to enable the driver.
I did some fiddling to try to interface to the I2C RTC (Xicor 1228) chip
on the new Insight p160 comms module - I found a driver for a 1226 and
imported that as well. I fiddled for a few hours but didn't quite get
it going - maybe one day when if there's a real need for it. Anyway,
it's all there if anyone is interested and wants to have a play -
patches welcome!
Cheers,
John
