I never had much luck with the lrzsz suite - particularly when sending 
files to the microblaze.

Can you succesfully send files in the other direction - ie from the 
microblaze to your PC?  I suspect you might be hitting the old bug in 
the uartlite drivers  - that occasionally causes lockups if you dump a 
large amount of data over the terminal connection.

Also, it might be worth trying a decent terminal program - hyperterminal 
is just horrible.  For PCs, teraterm is a good alternative.
