Yep, I built the system yesterday.  I have an AMD Athlon 3400+
(2.2GHz) w/ 1.5GB RAM... and I think it took around 1.5 hours to
complete.  I don't recall exactly how long but building the original
EDK reference design took significantly longer than mbvanilla as well.

I'm in the process of building a new kernel based on the
auto-config.in right now and will let you know how it goes.
