John,

OK I re-downloaded the kernel source from scratch. I am now getting a different issue:

1). No login needed, seems to boot into 'single user mode'

2). I can telnet in, but have to manually run initd. Where as before it all ran and also DHCP worked and now does not.

3). What is the password and login for telnet now? Is it possible in 'single user mode'

Did I miss somthing? What has changed and how can I get back to the auto DHCP/ initd running and telnet working?
