[microblaze-uclinux] mouse not working

hi all

we are using microblaze  processor and uClinux OS
when we connect the mouse and during thr make xconfig select PS/2 mouse(charecter devices).
all the compilation is proper.

the C code for this is in "uClinux-dist/linux-2.4-x/drivers/char/pc_keyb.c"

when we boot it on to the board, in the hyperterminal it says "Detected PS/2 Mouse Port"
but when we move the mouse there is no response.

but when i do "cat /dev/psaux" in the hyperterminal command line  the device opens.the sample printk statements i have given in the read_aux function are displayed

the data is getting into the registers
what must be the problem
