Hi, I posted last week regarding getting uClinux running on the Spartan 3 eval board (xc3s400). I've made some progress since using the auto-configured Microblaze platform for uClinux but have hit a stumbling block. Here's what I've done so far (basically following the steps in the auto-config README): 1) Checked out the uclinux source and distribution environment. 2) Downloaded the uclinux BSP and built a microblaze core for the above hardware using the Xilinx EDK. 3) I've taken the generated auto-config.in file and copied it across to the ~/uClinux-dist/linux-2.4.x/arch/microblaze/platform/uclinux-auto directory. 4) Now from the ~/uClinux-dist I run "make menuconfig" Now here is where I have some questions. The readme says to "Simply enter the kernel configuration menu (Customize Kernel Settings), then save and exit. It is not necessary to make any changes, simply entering the menu causes the new auto-settings to be detected. Finally, build the kernel as per normal." When I run "make menuconfig" I have two menu options available Vendor/Product Selection Kernel/Library/Defaults Section I've tried various different combinations of menus but I do not appear to be able to proceed to building the kernel. Do I need to select an option from the "Vendor/Product selection" menu to be able to proceed with the auto config? Am I missing something obvious here - I've attached the auto-config.in file. Thanks in advance, Vincent Carr
