Hi Bill,

If you have networking going in your VMware/linux setup, you should be
able to share a drive or folder from Windows, and mount it via Samba on
the Linux virtual machine.

I'm not sure if VMware allows you to directly access physical hard
drives of the host machine, if so you could mount the windows disk
partition directly inside VMWare/Linux.

I don't use VMware myself, so cannot comment directly on what is
required to achieve either of these.
