[microblaze-uclinux] Getting Started

Hi all,

sorry to bother the list with something so mundane but I followed Jason
Wu's tutorial on the ML401 and succeeded to the point of building the
linux kernel. There I encountered the following problems:

1) There is no microblaze tree for kernel 2.6.x and this confused the
'make menuconfig' causing it to burn and crash. To fix this I simply
removed the 2.6.x tree.

2) I have been unable to build the kernel. Something about not being
able to find a make rule for Head_.asm. I installed the latest GNU
tools, kernel distribution running on Fedora 4. Environment variables
are set OK.

I am trying to create my first build for the microblaze, so far without
success so that I can compare it to the NIOS linux.

Can anyone help me to get over this last hurdle?
