Hi
Jag,
XPS does not create
any user accounts. When libgen runs in XPS, it creates directories and
copies files but does not create any group or user
accounts.
Sathya
i am trying to implement a tutorial design using
microblaze and Xilinx'x Spartan-3 starter kit. i was about to generate
libraries and BSPs when the following errors
occured:
INTERNAL_ERROR:MDT:MdtBas_Common.c:914:1.80.4.1
- Can not create valid UT_DIR
object in MakeWriteable
ERROR:MDT -
Cannot assign write permissions for
directory
F:\XPS_projects\2006\SP3StarterKit\microblaze_0
make: ***
[microblaze_0/lib/libxil.a] Error 2
I have visited
Xilinx's website and found this solution but didn't
work:
Solution
1:
The permissions on a
given PC fluctuates and will be solely dependant on the sensitivity of the
design environment, and any policy established by a company's IT department.
Xilinx has no control over such fluctuations, but requires that a project
directory have both read and write permissions. There are additional
directory permissions that give all users permission to a given directory.
Several cases have been seen where all user permissions needed to be set to
work around this error. The individual company's IT department needs to
modify the user permissions if problems persist.
i have browsed the
folders and found out that the directory
...\microblaze_0\libsrc\cpu_v1_00_a\src has no permissions for the CREATOR
GROUP and CREATOR OWNER. I have attempted to give this users a full
permission on the folder but it won'y allow me to do so. It seems that
(please correct me if i am wrong) these user account are created by the XPS
and/or ISE.
has anyone experienced this same problem before? i can't
proceed with my design if i can't find a workaround on this particular
problem.
i am using Platform Studio 7.1.02i and Xilinx ISE 7.1.04i
and both uses an evaluation license. thanks in
advance!
regards,
jag
