[microblaze-uclinux] Kernel BUG (at scheduling maybe?)
Hi all
I am trying to run uClinux on a Virtex-II Pro board.
I have been following the great PDF tutorial posted on the site.
I reach to the point where the kernel boots and I get
[..kernel booting]
[..nothing seems to be wrong so far]
RAMDISK driver initialized: 16 RAM disks of 4096K size 1024 blocksize
VFS: Mounted root (romfs filesystem) readonly.
Freeing init memory: 32k
Mounting proc:
Mounting var:
Populating /var:
Running local start scripts.
xRemounting / (rw):
xSetting hostname:
kernel BUG at sched.c:687!
Some things to notice:
1)The uclinux distribution was downloaded from CVS in December 2005
Kernel is 2.4.x. I have not modified anything. The kernel sources
are untouched.
2)I haven't found yet what are these strange "x" characters before
"Remounting" and "Setting". These are the last two lines before the BUG
line.
3)The error presented here is non-deterministic. I get this BUG line
once or twice but 8/10 times the system just hangs after "Freeing init
memory:32k".
4)My hardware design is correct. At least the memory test shows that DDR
mem is OK. I download the kernel directly on DDR RAM with XMD and run it
from there. There is no FLASH involved or any other external memory
source.
Any ideas on what is going on?
If you need any more details I would be happy to provide them.
Thank you in advance.
