actually we are using SPARTEN -3 board.
and we download the image.bin at location using the comand
$ dow -data image.bin 0xfe000000
and after completion
we run the command to execute int in ram
$ con 0xfe000000

so i am confused that u r using elf image that is too big sized.

I am facing the problem in downloading uclinux kernel and how to verify
that my kernel is successfully installed.





My steps of download are as under:


I have downloaded uClinux kernel image (image.elf)  on ML 402 board of
Xililnx in the following way  using XMD stub: (In windows XP)





$Connect mb  mdm -cable type xilinx_parallel


$dow image.elf





section .text :  0x80000000 - 0x8010c040


section .intv :   0x8010c040 - 0x8010c0a8


section .init :   0x80119000 - 0x80125000


section .data : 0x8010c0a8  - 0x80118020


section .bss :  0x80125000 - 0x801450c0a8





It shows that image downloaded successfully.


Currently PC is at location 0x80000000.





Can anyone please guide me about where should I keep the kernel image ?


How to boot kernel once downloaded?


Is there any mechanism to boot kernel image automatically ?(Eg. Boot
Loader)


How can we provide bootloader?


If Boot loader is available, then at which location & in which memory
should it lie?
