Why compatibility mode? Did it use to work in fast mode?
I never got working the xpc4drvr on my Suse9.1 Linux, Kernel 2.6,
so I fall back to compatibility mode, it's slower but worked.

You are working at 200kHz in compatibility mode vs 5MHz in PCIV fast mode.
It should take longer.
yes, I know it take longer, but it should take the same time using Microblaze3
or Microblaze4 cores, instead with the same hardware and same PC it takes
1 minute with Microblaze3 and 4-7 minutes on Microblaze4.
May be Microblaze4 don't work well without xpc4drv?

Here it doesn't find the ECP hardware. Something is strange with the
hardware or a bug in the impact software.

Sorry I can't tell you exactly what you need to fix it, but those are the
clues I see.
Thank you anyway. May be there is no solution other than use a Windows PC to download the image. Is it possible to run XMD server on a Windows PC and the xmd script on another
Linux PC?

Cheers,
Claudio Lanconelli
