Re: [microblaze-uclinux] kernel builded don't boot - working
Well ... finally, it works.
I removed some more stuff in the kernel (regarding Flash), and now it works !

You should be using the!
most
recent - 1.00.d. But, that's unlikely to
be the real problem here.
The 1.00.d was the one I was using.

Have you tried disabling the cache in your build? For a quick debug
test you can just change the lines in auto-config.in that indicate
caches, rerun menuconfig on the kernel and do a clean build.
No, I always used it, never tryied without it ... in the matter of fact, I used it because its writed in uClinux_ready_Microblaze_design.pdf. And it works with the image.bin existent in uclinux-xupv2p_rev_1_1.zip

Do you really have 256MB of memory?
yep ! at least, the memory is a 256mb Kingstone chip, Im not sure if all of it would be available, but is enough to uClinux uses, right ?
Any other differences (even minor) in the auto-config.in files?
well, yes, but those were 2 lines regarding ETH, shouldn't be it ... I used the same binary (the default from the web), with and without such differences - the result was the ETH not working properly, just that ...
What version of the compiler tools, kernel sources, uClinux-dist are you
using? Recent CVS?
I was got it 3 weeks ago ... odd thin!
g ... the
only thing I did was untar (I tar the source, because I new it would write the files and I wanted to keep the originals) all of it again and build again.
Regards,
John
Well, thanks for the help, I'm just glad it is working now ! :D
