Re: [microblaze-uclinux] Still searching SystemACE bug

Hi Siva,
thank you for answering,
glad to have support from the Sysace producer ;-)

1. Make sure you have a correct .ace file. Use impact to generate the
required files and make sure you can configure the FPGA using the ace file
stored in the CF.

Seems all right here, but can you confirm how do I have to format the Compact Flash ?
I am doing
for 16MB CF
 mkdosfs -v -F 16 -R 1 -s 2 -n XLNX_XUP E:
for 128MB CF
 mkdosfs -v -F 16 -R 1 -s 8 -n XLNX_XUP E:
but I always have JTAG errors [1]

2. In the Linux drivers, check if issuing an additional reset to sysace
helps.

Exactly where should I perform such reset ?
which file and function ?
maybe in xsysace_intr.c ?

3. As a last option, try using xilfatfs standalone library shipped with EDK
instead of uclinux. It might prove easier to debug since it is pretty small
and works in polled mode.

As you can read in my previous posts in this thread,
I am using a custom bootloader based on using xilfatfs standalone library, and it is the only SysACE working stuff.

[1]Once Linux has booted I no longer am able to use it due to puzzling JTAG errors.

A hint will be greatly appreciated
TIA
