RE: [microblaze-uclinux] Regarding bootloader error

Hi Kunal,

If ur Flash is not detected, then surely the problem is with hardware of the board.
Actually can u please tell me which Flash u r going to use ? (NAND or NOR or manufacturer’s name) ?

If Flash IC is gone, it won’t be detected as per my knowledge. Please try on other board. Or changing the Flash of the same board with proper care.

About auto conversion option, u will have to tell me how u write to flash(programming flash). Depending on that u will get option for this.

It would come in Base system Builder itself.

Tools-> program Flash memory -> file to program – image.elf

þ      Auto convert to SREC format from elf.

Did u get my point? Feel free to ask if u don’t get it.

Hi Sweta,

In your reply you have mentioned about enabling auto convert. How to do it.One more problem is that image file is loaded into SRAM and not in flash as while building the project it doesn't detect any flash in the board.Changing the flash option in"software platform settings" from "none" to SRAM with same start address will do ? So I tend to agree more with your second answer that there is some problem with the board.Do you think I should go for some other board like the one from Nu-Horizon where the flash is supported by the base builder system.

Waiting for your reply.
