RE: [microblaze-uclinux] HELP!!! Porting UClinux on Spartan 3

As my project found out last year, the minimum amount of memory you'll need
if the networking code/apps are included into uClinux (generally a safe
assumption) is 8 MB. Our project chopped, and chopped, and chopped, but
failed to produce a working system with 4 MB. We could boot but never had
enough memory to execute programs from a shell.

You need more RAM to port uclinux.  I can't remember exactly the amount but
you need much more than 1MB.
