[microblaze-uclinux] Keeping the peace

Folks,

First of all, my apologies to the many people I know and respect at Xilinx. My
email from Saturday painted with a very broad brush - please know you were not
my target.

They are unsurprisingly, mostly technical / engineering, which is probably why I
get on with them so well. You know you're working with a good bunch of people
when you visit for meetings and end up playing cricket in the tennis court at
2100 Logic Drive.

Reflecting on this mess over the weekend, I've realised that it's these
relationships with *people* at Xilinx that hold the most value for me, both
personally and professionally. I don't need a marketing manager to validate or
endorse that.

Antti Lukatts, I really cannot understand why you would cheer a decision that
will leave you waiting 4 months longer, to pay for something that you are so
aggressively demanding now, for free.

I don't have anything more productive to say about this affair, so I will stop
there.

John

PS A couple of weeks ago I received an email from an engineer in a Lebanese
electronics company, apologising for a slow reply to one of my emails. The
reason? Because his country was being bombed and it was hard to get to his
office. There's a reality check right there.
