Hi Antti,

BTW your 1600 demo images make the use of pattern compare instruction,
does it come automatically when the patterncompare is enabled?

pcmp instruction usage is determined at compile/build time, through the
normal auto-config CPUFLAGS mechanisms (same as mult, div, msrset/clr,
barrel shift).

eg if I take the MB uclinux from University of Queensland website, then
the uclinux autoconfig BSP and then compile, will the patterncompare
be utilized or not?

Not quite sure what you mean here?

you answered already. I just wasnt sure the pcmp use is fully supported by the
autoconfig flags, if it is, no further question.

the petalogix-1600 image is the first one I have found that uses the pattern
compare instruction, so I was curios if it is supported in the kernel build
directly or not.
