Re: [microblaze-uclinux] Fwd: Troubleshooting installation of ICAP drivers

Dear David,

Some time ago, I and my friend Alexandre, were able to compile and
see the icap driver working under linux in Microblaze and in Power PC
too. The xilinx_hwicap directory was created when we apply the patch of
Mr. Jhons Williams.
    That patch is available in
http://www.itee.uq.edu.au/~listarch/partial-reconfig/archive/2006/04/msg00009.html
. I advise you that, when you copy and paste, you can have problems with
tabs. Specifically, i have problema with the line "+ $(LD) -r -o $@
$(xilinx_hwicap-objs)", but the solution was easy: just erase the spaces
in the beginning of the line and substitute for one tab.
The tutorial for XUPV2PRO available Mr. Williams page has been very
util too. I've followed it for have linux running in my board first.
We intended for making a tutorial, but unhappily, we didn't it and
now I just don't remember all the process. But We can try help you in
the emails.
I have same examples of applications, that can I let available, when
you have the driver working and would like to test it :)

Thanks.
