Hi Claudio, 

We've made good progress on the Linux 2.6 for Microblaze project. We
already have the 2.6 kernel and a basic BSP (UART and Ethernet) working
on the Xilinx Spartan 3E/1600 board. We are still working on adding
other drivers and testing the kernel. We will push back this code to the
open source community by standard Linux patches against the kernel.org
tree. The first phase of patches will be available by mid Jan. 2007.
