Hi

Yes, you can run Linux from 16-bit DDR – at least for the Microblaze.

Subject: [microblaze-uclinux] 16-bit PLB DDR Controller on PPC

Hi,

I need to know is it possible to have 16-bit DDR memory controller in EDK for a custom made board. Currently, what I have seen is, EDK  supports 32 and 64-bit DDR Memory controller (for third party boards included in the base system builder).

Has anyone ported Linux2.4 on PPC successfully running on Virtex4?

Will be waiting for the reply...............
