So my questions:
- Did anyone use the XUPV2P with 512MB DDR

I am using it with 128MB

- Do you use ISE7.1 or ISE8.x

ISE 8.2 on Debian linux

- If you use the 512MB DDR, did you have to recompile the image.bin because the opb_ddr IP names and so the information in the xparameters.h are different?

I guess you ask about the binary image distributed with XUPV2P. AFAIR uClinux cares only about the base address and size of memory, and these are build-time constants. So if you won't change the base address of opb_ddr and use same or larger memory you might be able to boot the default image and linux will just see 256MB of the ram. But you'll probably want to customize filesystem to include your own apps and then you will probably rebuild image.bin anyway.
