[microblaze-uclinux] sources for microblaze-related software
Hello!
I've never used or played with Microblaze before, but I've been poking on
Linux for many years and I've had it running and written drivers for it on
numerous (embedded) architectures.
The Microblaze situation puzzles me and I find it hard to get a grip of it. I
want to build my own toolchain, and build my own images of everything from
u-boot, uclinux 2.6, busybox and whatever my project may end up wanting.
Downloading and using binaries are fine for quick testing and demos, but
source is essential for real projects IMHO.
So, where is the latest and greatest source tarballs/patches/cvs repositories
for these tools (in their microblaze flavours or perhaps some of them can be
built out of their standard tarballs/releases)?
For microblaze uclinux 2.6, is the patches on
http://sourceforge.net/projects/microblaze the most recent? If so, what are
they diffed against and what toolchain do I need to build? (The patches refer
to linux-2.6.13.4 but it isn't clear to me if that is a stock kernel tree or
with some other patches applied.)
Most google searches and links (for just about anything microblaze related)
end up on John Williams' fine page, but that contains informations that seem
to be updated no later than November 2005.
I hugely appreciate the time and efforts people have put into this, and I hope
to be able to contribute my little bits once I get up to speed on this.
