RE: [microblaze-uclinux] u-boot 1.2.0 petalogix patch.

I don't have Spartan-3e to test too.

You can send me your board and I will test it. :-)
Or you can test it.

Michal Simek

What about Spartan-3e support? I don't have ml401 to test...

Hi Leonid and John,
I am U-BOOT custodian for Microblaze and a got some changes to u-boot branch. This changes are only available in u-boot-microblaze.git.

http://www.denx.de/cgi-bin/gitweb.cgi
http://www.denx.de/cgi-bin/gitweb.cgi?p=u-boot.git;a=forks
git clone git://www.denx.de/git/u-boot-microblaze.git u-boot

I look at your U-BOOT port and we have dissimilarity between 1.2.0 and your 1.1.4.

Support for:
- ml401 and xupv2p board.
- BSP automatic config, because your auto-config.h is very big and for U-BOOT tree is inconvenient.
- reset.
- interrupt controller
- timer support

Now I am working on fsl support command frd, frdb, fwr and fwrb fro blocking and non-blocking read and write from FSL.
And then I plan to do on sysace support.

Best regards,
Michal Simek

Well, I thought you have "official" patch, but that will suffice most
likely, thanks.

My ultimate goal is to port Petalogix's changes into 1.2.0 and I hope
1.1.4 patch will help since u-boot structure didn't change that much.

You see, we have several different architectures (PPC - both "real" and
Xilinx's - as well as Microblaze and ARM9) in parallel development and I
would like to use same u-boot tree for all of them if I can and 1.2.0 is
latest and greatest.

Thanks again,

Leonid.

So, what about 1.1.4 patch at least? That you must have I suppose.

I generated the attached out of our revision control tree - it should be

more or less the same as what you would get if you did a diff -Naur
between the u-boot subdir in PetaLinux, and a vanilla u-boot 1.1.4 tree.

Is that what you are after?

Regards,

John
