Hi John,
I experience the same thing with my gmail account on this, and several
other mailing lists. I believe it is because gmail recognizes the
incoming message as being the same as the sent message and discards. I
did a quick google search and did find some discussion that suggests
that changing the Message-ID: header of the e-mail will cause g-mail
to recognize the difference (even if the body is identical), but most
mailing list software does not do this (at least by default).
Searching something like, 'gmail mailing list "my own posts"', on
google shows several discussions of the same problem.

Hi,
One or two list subscribers who use GMail, seem to be having problems
whereby they don't receive copies of their own messages posted to the list.
Has anybody else experienced this, or know of a solution? Is this some
gmail anti-spam measure gone wrong? Majordomo is currently configured
to put "precendence:bulk" in the header of outgoing messages - maybe
this is triggering something?
Cheers,
John
