It seems that I only had an installation problem. Now it works with ISE-9.1.3 and EDK-9.1.2. At least I can compile and download ;-)
In order to use our parallel cable we are running kernel 2.6.29-1.2895.fc6. We were not able to compile the windriver on more recent kernel versions.
