RE: [microblaze-uclinux] Question about V4 and PPC...
Hi,
I do not know if the PetaLinux support the PPC's but I belive that it
dont at this moment. I know that uClinux could work with PPC. I haven't
tested it my self but here is the link:

Subject: [microblaze-uclinux] Question about V4 and PPC...
Hello everyone,
I'm not new in uClinux, but new in uClinux/linux on FPGA. Curently, I
have to build image for Virtex 4, FX20 with only basic functionality
(ethernet and rs232). Board is based on ML403 reference design.
I understand that this list is for microblaze, but I have to ask, what
about PPC? I know that uClinux is for processors without MMU, but on
some pages, I saw infos that with Petalogix distribusion, I could build
linux for PPC? Is this true or I missed something?
If answer is true, then I suppose that procedure for build image is
similar/same as for Microblaze?
If not, what is your proposal for place on net to start up? I google-up
a lot of pages, but want to see your opinion. Preferred is FREE
distributions.
thank you in advance
