Thanks a lot for the insight in that particular matter! It's currently "Running XST
synthesis".

But what about all WARNING's, INFO's and such? There seems to be an overall miss in
my configuration:

* OpenSUSE 10.2
* ISE 9.2i SP4
* EDK 9.2i SP2
* Petalinux v0.30-rc1

I get:

* WARNING for deprecated core for spartan3e.
* INFO for overriding IP level properties
* INFO for overriding system level properties
